Painter’s Table: James Kalm Vlogs Sandro Chia

James Kalm visits the opening night of Sandro Chia on Wed, Feb 15, 2017. Kalm notes: “In this, his first major show with Marc Straus Gallery, [Chia] shows a group of recent paintings, many featuring single figures accompanied by animals. Chia’s masterful feel for the painter’s medium, his homages to great innovators of early modernism and high classicism, are examples of his approach that keeps him relevant to New York’s current community of painters.”
